2026 Kids Fishing Event

Another great Anacortes Kids Fishing Event, made possible by the collaborative efforts of the City of Anacortes and the Puget Sound Anglers, offering an enriching experience for children to connect with nature and develop a passion for fishing.
Thank you City of Anacortes and Eli Moore, PSA Chair, Bob Felder, and many PSA members.

Here are some fun facts about the event this year.

       - 135 kids registered and participated (well over 200 people at the event if you include family members)
- The largest fish caught was 4 pounds 11 ounces. Caught by Riley Fann
- Multiple fish were caught that were over 3 and 4 pounds. (last year the record was 2 pounds 1 ounce, so this year shattered the last two years records)
- The smallest fish caught was 0.5 ounces. A few kids tied at this weight.
- Ace and Sebo's were sponsors and helped by donating prizes to give away.
- Marine View Cold Storage donated flake Ice (thank you to angler Dave Suther for coming up with this idea and brining the ice all on his own.)

Big Fish Winner - Riley Fann
